In dental bonding, the dentist applies a durable material known as resin to the teeth and then bonds it with the teeth using ultraviolet rays. Resin is kind of a plastic material that matches the color and texture of natural teeth. This procedure is carried out for specific dental purposes such as treating cavities, chipped teeth, and discolored teeth; covering the gaps between two teeth; or even changing the shape of a tooth.
