Once you have moved into the new office schedule a walk through with your contractors and look for snags. Thoroughly test everything from phones through to lights. Have a final handover and perhaps arrange a supermarket delivery to the new office of tea, coffee or even champagne. Congratulate yourself and everyone involved on a job well done and take a well deserved holiday.

It may seem very daunting but if you break it down into steps, you will be able to manage the project from the early "thinking stages" right through to moving day. The first step is to form your moving team. Decide who is going to be involved with clear roles and responsibilities. These include: IT - vital to make sure you are up and running at the new site HR - good communication with the staff you are moving Finance - someone to control the budget for the product
