Take for example someone who is extremely confident. They are not only aware of their own capabilities, but refuse to let anyone tell them otherwise. Confident individuals seem to have it all - the money, the power, and all the popularity. They are well-aware that they are deserving of success and see no reason as to why they won't succeed. What's more is that those who are confident do not see why they don't deserve to be happy, whereas those who are not confident have somehow developed the belief that they don't deserve to find contentment.
