When it comes to casual footwear, you can't go past simple sports shoes, thongs or sandals however these styles of footwear don't always work with casual attire. For example, sports shoes may be comfortable but don't always look great with jeans. If you like to wear sports shoes often, a darker shade works best with jeans.

For office or corporate attire, it is also recommended to wear simple Oxford style shoes but those including embellishments look good too. Black or brown are generally the best colours though tan or burgundy can often work well with a light coloured suit or pants. High quality leather loafers are another style that will go well with corporate wear. Loafers are slip on leather shoes with a low heal and could be described as a dressy moccasin but without the tassel.
